The latest C4U General Assembly took place on 6 and 7 March 2023 in Oviedo, Spain. It was hosted by the Instituto de Ciencia y Tecnología del Carbono (INCAR).
Next to hearing more about the progress from the different work packages, the consortium members visited ArcelorMittal in Gijón. The location houses the pilot reactor for one of our project’s key technologies (CASOH). It is short for Calcium Assisted Steel Mill Off-gas Hydrogen Production. CASOH technology will reduce the energy penalty linked to CO2 capture, optimising capture rate, energy efficiency and cost.
